Giving Tuesday 2025 - Growing The Legacy
Two years ago, we made a promise: to honor Hugh's life by investing in young people like him.
This past spring, we kept that promise. The Hugh Thomas Douglas Memorial Scholarship was awarded for the first time to a Morehouse College junior majoring in business. It was a milestone we couldn't have reached without you.
Every donation, every share, every kind word helped us get here. And because the scholarship is endowed, it will continue supporting students for years to come.
Now we're asking for your help again.
This Giving Tuesday, December 2nd, you can contribute directly through Morehouse College's giving platform. Your gift will strengthen the endowment, helping us support more students and ensuring the scholarship can weather whatever the future holds.
How to Give
Donating is simple. Just follow these steps:
1. Visit the Morehouse Giving Tuesday page
2. Enter your gift amount.
3.Make sure in the Designation field, it reads: "Hugh T. Douglas '25 Endowed Scholarship Fund"
4. Complete your payment information and submit.
That's it. Your gift goes directly to the scholarship fund.
Why Your Gift Matters
Hugh spent his time at Morehouse building community. He founded the 404 Club so Atlanta-area students could find connection. He mentored his peers. He led the Morehouse Business Association as its treasurer. He showed up for people.
When you give to this scholarship, you're helping another young person do the same. You're making it possible for a student to stay in school, pursue their dreams, and maybe one day lift others up the way Hugh did.
