Three Years On - An Update

It’s hard to believe it’s been three years since this journey began. I try to be on time and update, at least around this time, around the holidays, and when new scholarships are awarded. Of course, we’re not a foundation with a group of leaders and content creators. We’re just a family trying to keep going and to allow Hugh’s story and life to keep making a difference in other young men’s lives.

Last week wasn’t the easiest. Grief is strange, and in our dualistic world it exists both in the brain and the body. The body may grieve even while the brain thinks it’s business as usual. When I notice that happening, I try to slow down, to allow myself some comfort, and to be honest with myself about what I need.

Your contributions, both directly to Morehouse and to the Donor Advised Fund, continue to make a difference and grow our capabilities to give. We will award our next scholarship in April 2027 to a deserving rising junior majoring in business with a concentration in finance. The difference we will make in these Men of Morehouse’s lives is all thanks to your generous support.
