In the short 20 years that Hugh spent on this Earth, he had an outsized impact on his family, friends, and community. He is widely remembered for his care for his friends and neighbors, his dedication to building community through his work as a peer mentor, Treasurer of the Morehouse Business Association, and Founder of the 404 Club, a geographic affinity group for Morehouse students from Atlanta and surrounding areas. He pursued his academic and professional endeavors with equal passion, excelling in school, as a Goldman Sachs Fellow, as an AltFinance Fellow, and at his internship at Ares Management.

Through the Hugh Thomas Douglas Memorial Fund, we honor Hugh’s light and legacy by investing in the future of our youth. We will invest in scholarships and programs that help youth like Hugh realize their full academic, professional, and human potential.
